Batch filing is a mechanism offered by SLAS Clearinghouse for surplus lines agents and independently procured coverage (IPC) filers who have a large volume of business to report.
Batch files may be submitted through a file upload in SLIP or API (web service) submission. Batch filing may require some technical configuration to an agency management system to export the policy data into an XML format so it can be uploaded into SLIP. API submission allows customers to submit automatically by transmitting policy data from the agency server to the SLAS Clearinghouse server.
